If you pay attention to movies these days you will notice something. All of the women in them are younger for the most part. And it seems like all of the sexy roles go to younger women. But you know what, older actresses are sexy too!
In fact, one blogger is making a list of the top 40 hot actresses over 40! If you want to see the list as it gets made, head on over to Random Riley. The list is just getting started and so far only #40 is listed. Play along and see if you agree!

It is no secret that I support Hillary Clinton. So I am pretty stoked about what Elton John was able to do.
If you recall, Elton John agreed to do a one-night only solo concert for Hillary. Tickets were sold with the top tix costing $2,300. Well, thanks to thank concert, $2.5 million was raised for Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Get more info on that here.
Maybe we will get to see the first woman president next year!

Growing up, I read a lot of fairytales. I am sure that is the case with most people. At the time, I loved them. But now I cannot help but notice something about mothers and step-mothers in these stories.
Think of some fairytales. Now think about the mothers in them. Did you notice it? The mothers in fairytales are either evil or dead. Usually, biological mothers are dead and stepmothers are evil. Why is that? And what is up with all of the kids in fairytales with no mother at all?!

Why are women never the hero in fairytales? There is Prince Charming. The gallant knight to save the day. There is never a princess that is the hero. Wonder why that is?

I was talking the other day with my other half about a work situation. You see, she had just gotten moved to a new desk and was unsure if she would be able to get away with being a slacker like she did at her previous desk. Her previous cubicle mate was a guy that did not care.
So, I told her that if her new cube mate was a woman that she would probably get told on in no time flat. She agreed with me. That made me think – why is is that women seem to be the office tattle tails? In my work experience, this seems to be the case. How sad.

I have always loved Dolly Parton. Regardless of your feelings about country music in general, the woman is pure genius. She came from nothing and look at all she has now. And she gives back so much to the community that she came from.
I have been hearing a lot about Dolly’s new album Backwoods Barbie. Imagine my surprise to find that she did this record all on her own. That is correct – Dolly self-released this new album.
I think that is great. And, honestly, I do not know why more people like her are not doing the same thing. I mean, why isn’t JK Rowling self-publishing instead of letting that big publishing house make money off her back?
The interesting thing about Dolly self-released album is that it reached Billboard’s #2 spot in its second week. And that is her best showing in 17 years! Hooray for that! I hope she sees loads of success with this.
And do not forget, she also has a musical of “Nine to Five” that will be in Los Angeles this fall!
