There are some people trying to get Women’s Murder Club back on the air. People are emailing ABC and whatnot. But ABC doesn’t want it cause it costs too much. I say, why doesn’t another network pick it up? Like maybe the CW? None of the CW shows get 8 million viewers like WMC! It could be a huge hit for them! That is if they could afford it!

I miss you already. It just does not make sense that they canceled you. Although I did read an interview with that Stephen guy from ABC that makes the decisions. Apparently Eli Stone was chosen over WMC because it was the cheaper to make show. Well, here’s and idea ABC – learn to trim some fat! Shows don’t have to be expensive! It is really just that simple!

This week ABC canceled Women’s Murder Club in favor of Eli Stone. In looking at the numbers, this is a puzzling decision. And it only leads to one conclusion. Someone at ABC is terrible at math. Well, that, or someone is really sexist at ABC. Here are a look at the ratings for this past season of Eli Stone. Keep in mind that with the exception of a Sunday airing after Desperate Housewives it was typically on after Lost. And most of the time the shows airing against it were in re-runs. When they were not, Eli Stone tanked.
If you look below, it fell every week, on Thursdays, except the final to airings. Its small bump at the end is directly attributed from airing after Desperate Housewives.

Yesterday was the West Virginia primary. Obama out spent Hillary by almost 3 to 1. And it did not help him much. Hillary gave him quite the beating. For some strange reason Edwards was still not the ballot. If not, she might have done a 70-30. Wait, it was practically that anyways! Go, Hillary, go!

ABC shows Women’s Murder Club and Eli Stone both were considered “bubble shows.” Neither had been renewed for a second season. And only one would stay, meaning whichever to get renewed first meant the other was dead. Then, last week Women’s Murder Club posted higher ratings than Eli Stone.
Today, ABC officially renewed Eli Stone and officially canceled Women’s Murder Club. Puzzling considering WMC had better numbers. Sure looks like the women got shafted for a male-centric show. Stephen McPherson, ABC Entertainment President, is the Le douche responsible for this travesty.
Let ABC know about the horrible taste this left in your mouth:
This is ABC’s phone number to leave comments on their shows: 1-818-460-7477
It is an automated system. Press 2 to leave comments. Press 3 for Primetime menu. WMC is #965.
You get thirty seconds per message, but you can call back as often as you would like
Or how about emailing some peeps?

Never before has there been a viable female candidate for President of the United States. So, will Hillary Clinton become the first female president of the US? It is increasingly beginning to look like that might not happen. Sure, she will stomp Obama in West Virginia and Kentucky but everyone has already counted her out. I’d like to think that she will be able to end up the nominee. I’d like to see her name on the ballot in November. But I might just have to write it in to see it.

Yesterday ABC canceled the Anne Heche led drama Men in Trees. And it looks like they are all set to cancel the female driven Women’s Murder Club. Like Men in Trees, WMC suffered a scheduling change when it came back from the writer’s strike last week. While its numbers were good for Friday it did not do so well last week, which was its first time back since the writer’s strike. A new episode airs tonight and then one airs next week. I suspect that the fate of this show hinges on its performance tonight though as the networks have their Upfronts in NYC next week. That means that will have made their decision by then. Supposedly both Eli Stone and Women’s Murder Club are on the cusp of being cancelled by ABC – and apparently only one can stay. Will it be the male-driven or the female-driven show that survives? Why not tune into Women’s Murder Club tonight, or even Tivo it cause that counts too, so that we can make sure that women keep their place on television.
