Oh yeah, summer vacation time is just around the corner! And doesn’t that make you just get the itch to travel? I know that the travel bug has certainly bitten me! If you have been bitten by the travel bug as well you need to check out the deals you can get on flights, hotels and such from DialAFlight. They are an indie UK travel company that can hook you up with some great deals for some memorable trips. They have some great prices on flights to Hong Kong right now. That is one place that I have never been but would like to go to. One of my best vacations was an international one but it was just to France. Maybe I should cure this travel itch and book my own flight through DialAFlight!

There are some people trying to get Women’s Murder Club back on the air. People are emailing ABC and whatnot. But ABC doesn’t want it cause it costs too much. I say, why doesn’t another network pick it up? Like maybe the CW? None of the CW shows get 8 million viewers like WMC! It could be a huge hit for them! That is if they could afford it!

I miss you already. It just does not make sense that they canceled you. Although I did read an interview with that Stephen guy from ABC that makes the decisions. Apparently Eli Stone was chosen over WMC because it was the cheaper to make show. Well, here’s and idea ABC - learn to trim some fat! Shows don’t have to be expensive! It is really just that simple!

I admit that I have never been to a Wimbledon tennis tournament and that is a shame. I enjoy tennis. And do you know why I enjoy tennis? Tennis seems to be the only sport where there is some semblance of equality between the genders. If you think about it, there just might even be more famous women tennis players than there are men tennis players. And that is something right there! With that fact alone, it should make all of us want to go right out and snatch up some great Wimbledon tickets so that we can watch those women play! In fact, tennis legend Martina Navrátilová has played the most matches of anyone at Wimbledon with a whopping 326 matches. The highest for men is Jean Borotra at 223 matches. See, women dominate at Wimbledon! Too bad the exchange rate is so bad cause it really makes me want to go. But Wimbledon is held in the UK, if you did not know. It is held in London each summer. Usually it happens in late June or early July. And this year they are going on from June 23 to July 6, 2008. Defending champions to watch this year are for men’s singles - Roger Federer, for women’s singles - Venus Williams, for the men’s doubles - Arnaud Clément / Michaël Llodra, for women’s doubles - Cara Black / Liezel Huber, and for mixed doubles - Jelena Janković / Jamie Murray. So get ready for it this summer!

This week ABC canceled Women’s Murder Club in favor of Eli Stone. In looking at the numbers, this is a puzzling decision. And it only leads to one conclusion. Someone at ABC is terrible at math. Well, that, or someone is really sexist at ABC. Here are a look at the ratings for this past season of Eli Stone. Keep in mind that with the exception of a Sunday airing after Desperate Housewives it was typically on after Lost. And most of the time the shows airing against it were in re-runs. When they were not, Eli Stone tanked.
If you look below, it fell every week, on Thursdays, except the final to airings. Its small bump at the end is directly attributed from airing after Desperate Housewives.
Eli Stone 2007-08 Weekly Ratings Track

Do you have some seniors in your life? If you do then you might not ever think about it but I bet that they have cell phones too. In fact, I know that a set of my grandparents had cell phones. And you know what else you might not think about - a lot of the times it is hard for seniors to see things that are in little tiny fonts. And that means that those little numbers on cell phones and the small text on the screens of cell phones is kind of hard for them to read a lot of the time. And you know what? It does not have to be and the people with Jitterbug already know this and have taken steps to do something about it. You see if you check out the Jitterbug site then you will notice a cell phone that is made for people like seniors that have a hard time reading the small numbers. You will find a phone that is easy to use and feature some large numbers on the keypad so that they are easy to read. This means that seniors do not have to worry about calling the wrong number by mistake. And no one wants to do that! They also offer up some awesome customer service which includes 24 hour operators. Go and have a look at them today and introduce the seniors in your life to Jitterbug today!

Yesterday was the West Virginia primary. Obama out spent Hillary by almost 3 to 1. And it did not help him much. Hillary gave him quite the beating. For some strange reason Edwards was still not the ballot. If not, she might have done a 70-30. Wait, it was practically that anyways! Go, Hillary, go!

ABC shows Women’s Murder Club and Eli Stone both were considered “bubble shows.” Neither had been renewed for a second season. And only one would stay, meaning whichever to get renewed first meant the other was dead. Then, last week Women’s Murder Club posted higher ratings than Eli Stone.
Today, ABC officially renewed Eli Stone and officially canceled Women’s Murder Club. Puzzling considering WMC had better numbers. Sure looks like the women got shafted for a male-centric show. Stephen McPherson, ABC Entertainment President, is the Le douche responsible for this travesty.
Let ABC know about the horrible taste this left in your mouth:
This is ABC’s phone number to leave comments on their shows: 1-818-460-7477
It is an automated system. Press 2 to leave comments. Press 3 for Primetime menu. WMC is #965.
You get thirty seconds per message, but you can call back as often as you would like
Or how about emailing some peeps?
