John McCain surprised a lot of people by picking Alaska governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate for this election. And a lot of us were left to wonder – who is Sarah Palin?
Well, she is the first female governor of Alaska. She is a mother of five. Palin is a card-carrying member of the NRA. Palin is pro-life and anti-gay marriage. She is all for drilling for oil in Alaska.
Palin is also a member of the group Feminists for Life. They are the largest pro-life feminist organization.
Palin is a proponent of Creationism being taught in schools.
So, who is Sarah Palin? She is a person that I would not want running the country if John McCain wins the election and ends up with some health ailments.

When I heard that McCain had picked a woman for his VP I had two thoughts. I was amazed as the Republican party is not known for this sort of thing. You know, giving women a position of power. In fact, Palin is the first female VP candidate for the Republican party. Ever.
My second thought was excitement. It is pretty exciting that a woman is in the race. I mean, it seemed like it was inevitable that it would be the case. Only it seemed that Hillary Clinton would be that women. How shocking that it is instead someone in the Republican party.

I make no secret that I am a diehard Hillary Clinton supporter. And I make no secret that I think it is a disservice to this country and injustice that Hillary is not the Democratic nominee for President. And the fact that she was not picked as a running mate is downright appalling.
And seeing her speech this week at the Democratic National Convention just proves what an amazing leader she could have been. If you feel the same way, then there is a great article you will want to read. Check it out – The Hillary Who Might Have Been.

Last night Obama’s VP pick, Joe Biden, spoke at the Democratic Convention. The night previous Hillary Clinton delivered her speech. I think it is fair to say that Biden’s speech was the low point of the entire convention thus far. In fact, Hillary has outshown both Biden and her husband, Bill Clinton.
Tonight, Barack Obama speaks. I can’t wait to see how he stacks up.

Did you watch Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention? If not, you can find on the web on numerous sites including YouTube. Most news sites and articles praised her speech. I watched it myself and found it both inspiring and depressing at the same time. The depressing part was seeing what could have been. If you missed the speech, watch it here.

The 19th amendment to the Constitution is one all women should know. It guaranteed women the right to vote. And it was a long time coming!
The important thing to note today is its anniversary. In fact, it was passed 88 years ago today!
So, be sure to take a moment to be thankful for that.
And, remember that Hillary Clinton speaks tonight at the Democratic National Convention!

I hate it when women bash one another. And then it is worse when it is celebs that do it in public. The latest instance of this? Roseanne Barr is the culprit. And Angelina Jolie was her target.
So, are you wondering what she said? Well, here it is.
“Jon Voight, your evil spawn Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about $40 million a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away ($3 million) of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity, as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the Earth even more.
Why, Roseanne, why?

Wow, talk about a shocker! Just this year I saw Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones in Columbus, Ohio. She was at a rally for Hillary Clinton. She looked just fine. And then today I read on Yahoo that she is dead. You can read the shocking story for yourself. It is: US Rep. Tubbs Jones of Ohio dies after hemorrhage. How tragic!
