Will Hillary run again?

October 30th, 2008 admin

I have made no secret about the fact that I supported Hillary Clinton in this election. In fact, I still think she would be the best person for the job. I shudder to think about the current state of the economy and the fact that there will not be a Clinton in office to fix it.

For me, I hope she runs again. Of course, the only way I see that happening is if Obama loses this election. Otherwise I think she just might be too old. Of course, Chelsea won’t be. And I would vote for her since she is a Clinton!

The Sarah Palin Halloween Costume

October 30th, 2008 admin

You know, it is no surprise to see people wearing masks on Halloween of political figures. However this year you might see something a bit different. The current hot political Halloween costume is to dress up like Sarah Palin. If Tina Fey can do it, so can you!

And it is super easy to do! To get a list of what you might need, you can check out DIY Halloween Costume: Sarah Palin. I wonder how many people I will see being Sarah Palin?

The Fight For Women’s Rights in South Dakota

October 24th, 2008 admin

On the way to work today I was listening to NPR. They were talking about national politics when they shifted to South Dakota. Apparently there is a measure on the ballot in South Dakota that women need to know about. A group there is trying to make abortions illegal in the state. Exceptions are: rape, incest and danger of the life of the mother. However, there apparently is something in there that states that if doctor’s perform an abortion and one of those things is not the case then they can be prosecuted. So, on NPR they were saying this means that if this measure passed that no doctors would be performing them due to the risk.

Yikes.

The people behind this measure are hoping that it passes and that it becomes the first stepping stone to overturning Roe v. Wade.

Double Yikes!!

If you are in South Dakota please vote against this measure and protect a woman’s right to choose!

Palin on SNL

October 20th, 2008 admin

Well, there she was. Sarah Palin was indeed on SNL this weekend. She appeared twice on the show. She was in the opening and delivered the signature line. She also appeared during ‘Weekend Update.’ I looked on the web after her performance. And, well, I was shocked to see what was being said about it. People were saying what a disaster it was.

I thought she was great on it. I mean, she came on the show knowing that she was the butt of the joke. And she still came on the show. That shows incredible class.

Hrm, interesting that Hillary and Palin have both been on SNL even though they were the butt of jokes. But there has been no sign of the men of politics on SNL. Interesting, yes?

Palin to appear on SNL?

October 15th, 2008 admin

Tina Fey has been making ratings gold for SNL with her Sarah Palin skits. It is pretty freaky how much they look alike when Fey is playing Palin. Well, Fey has been paid on three shows now. And word on the street is that Palin might appear on SNL this weekend. And she just might appear on there as Fey! What fun that will be!

Sarah Palin did abuse power

October 10th, 2008 admin

Interesting political news today. Nothing is on TV at the moment. So I have somehow ended up on Fox News. The scroller at the bottom is talking about Obama and ACORN and how they are affiliated. There is also mention of voter fraud in Ohio already. But the main part of the screen is filled with breaking news. What news? That Sarah Palin is guilty of ‘abuse of power’ in the whole Troopergate thing. So, how did that story get picked to be broadcast while the rest is just at the bottom?

Sarah Palin to appear on SNL as Tina Fey

October 10th, 2008 admin

Here is something interesting. I am certain that you have heard about Tina Fey being on SNL this season. She has been appearing on SNL in guest appearances as VP candidate Sarah Palin. And it has been ratings gold for SNL. Well, now there is word that Sarah Palin will appear on SNL as Tina Fey! In fact, Lorne Michaels said Sarah Palin will appear as Tina Fey on the late-night comedy hour, “all in due time.” Can’t wait for that!

Misty May-Treanor and Dancing with the Stars

October 7th, 2008 admin

Wow, did you hear the Dancing with the Stars news? Two-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor had to drop out of DWTS. Why? Because she had a freak accident that resulted in a ruptured Achilles tendon. Ouchie! She had to go into surgery. And then she had 9 months of rehabilitation to look forward to. That is a major bummer for her.

Crazy financial times

October 6th, 2008 admin

There has been a lot on the news lately regarding the economy. If you have been paying attention then you noticed that these are some crazy financial times. I tell ya, it scares me. And it really makes me wish that Hillary Clinton was the Democratic nominee. I wouldn’t be so worried if I knew a Clinton was on the way to clean up the mess. Instead, she is on the sidelines. Tragic.
