File this one under ignorance and intolerance. Seems the Malaysian government has recently issued two bans. First they banned tomboys. They decided that girls who act like boys violate the tenets of Islam.
They also banned the practice of yoga. They claim it has elements of other religions that could corrupt Muslims. In fact, they claim that yoga involves not just physical exercise but also includes Hindu spiritual elements, chanting and worship.

I am not a soap opera fan. And I am not a Days of Our Lives fan. In fact, I have never watched it. But you better believe that I know who Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn are. That is why I am shocked that they were fired due to budget cuts.
Supposedly viewership is declining. And TPTB decided that the best way to make those numbers go up is to get younger viewers. And to do that they needed younger actors. I’m afraid this decision just might come back to bite them.

Well, Yahoo is reporting it as official breaking news. Hillary Clinton has accepted Barack Obama’s offer of Secretary of State. This means that she will have to give up her senate seat. Is this a good move or no? Some are saying it is not so good as he can fire her and she will be left with nothing. However, this role would make her the top U.S. diploma. Regardless, I’m glad she’ll be around to keep an eye on him.

There are a lot of probloggers out there. It seems like you are always reading about them. And they all seem to have one obvious thing in common. They all seem to be male. So where are all the female probloggers? There have to be a few of them. Where are they hiding?

I used to live in NYC. And that was how I had my first Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade experience. My thoughts? The balloons look way bigger on tv than they actually are. And there are tons of people out watching. So many that it is not comfy. And it takes the balloons forever to get down the streets. And as you might expect everyone goes to eat afterwards. But there are plenty of NYC restaurants open on Thanksgiving. And yes, they will be packed.

Well, here is some interesting news. It was reported in the media that the women-centric show Lipstick Jungle was canceled. But Brooke Shields says that is not the case. In fact, she says they are still working. And that reports of the set being torn down are false. So, how about that.

Wow, what is it with people that start those internet death hoax things. Seems Miley Cyrus is the latest victim. Only she is not dead. Instead, someone hacked into her YouTube account and posted a video alleging she’d been killed by a drunken driver. Riiiight. What is wrong with people? Seriously!

Looks like actress Charlize Theron has taken on a new role. She will hbe working with the United Nations to help battered women. She is the newest U.N. Messenger of Peace. Theron wants to send a strong message that violence against women and girls is not acceptable. She has joined the campaign dubbed “UNite to End Violence against Women.” This campaign actually was launched in February.
Worldwide, the U.N. says one of every five women will be a victim of rape or attempted rape at some point in their lifetime, and at least one of every three women is likely to be beaten, coerced into sex or abused in some other way.

Wow, the interest in Sarah Palin just keeps getting stronger! She was on Larry King Live over the weekend. And today’s big news about Palin involves a publishing contract. Seems Sarah Palin is getting a book deal. And it is looking like this book deal will net her about $7 million! And her come out of nowhere to being everywhere is being compared to another important someone. Obama himself had a similar story.

Well, it appears that Obama might not be the douche I thought he was. At least not a complete and total douche. Seems he met with Hillary last week. What was the meeting about? Apparently he was offering her the role of Secretary of State in his administration. That would be pretty awesome. And would be a nice springboard for her to make another presidential run from. Very interesting development.
