Do you wish you could move overseas and work and live abroad? I certainly know that I do! But moving to another country is not as easy as it appears. I would love to be able to move to a new country and start a business but you typically need to have a lot of cash to do that. However a lot of countries have immigration programs that make it a bit easier for professionals and skilled tradespeople to move abroad. Interested in working abroad? Here are a few tips I found.
Australia and Canada allows entry for both professionals and skilled tradespeople. Probably at the moment it is easier to gain entry to Australia than to Canada, the UK or the US. Historically Australia has been an attractive destination Country for people from the UK. In recent years there has been an increase in immigration to Australia from Asian Countries. The UK and Canada also have very successful skilled migration programmes. A migrant who eventually gains British citizenship can then work freely throughout the EU. If you have a job offer then it may be possible to gain entry to the US.

With the new year upon us at the end of the week a lot of you out there might be thinking about starting up the new year with a new business venture. If you are going to take that plunge then kudos to you! Starting a business is a bold new step in an exciting direction that a lot of people are just too scared to take. Before you start your business you need to decide on a business structure before getting all set up legally in your state. So you will want to evaluate the different types of business structures from being a sole proprietor to having a corporation. But in the end it will likely come down to two choices - LLC vs. SCorporation. And one is not better than the other - it just really depends on your situation. Or you may even base it on the fees in your state. With each of these you are able to avoid personal liability. LLCs have less paperwork and are a bit less formal than Corporations. If you will be hiring people you will see that an SCorp will allow you to save on employment taxes. With an LLC there are no restrictions on how owners can distribute profits. That is not the case with an SCorp. For more info check out Clickandinc.com today.

You know, society often pits women against each other. So when you see two women that were pitted against each other playing nice it is a good thing. Lindsay Lohan is taking on that role. Apparently it was big news today that she wrote a blog about Britney Spears. In fact, she was giving Brit congrats on getting her life back on track. So congrats to Lindsay for stepping up like that and not falling prey to society’s pressure to cat fight.

Are you a saver instead of a spender? Well if you are like me then you have learned your lesson about spending and are trying to trim back the spending, pay down a little of that debt, well actually all of it, and are working towards saving more of your money. Sadly, for those savers out there this is not the best time when it comes to interest rates to be saving! In fact, all of those high yield savings accounts out there keep dropping their rates that they are paying. So what is a saver supposed to do? Well, if you have a look at CD Rates you will see that you can get a much better rate of return from a CD than you can from a high yield savings account right now. So that is really the best answer that I have for savers. Of course, you need to do a bit of shopping around to find out who has the best paying rates on CDs. And a great place to go for that info is the website “Monitor Bank Rates” where you can get the stats on the best CD rates around. So why not head on over there today and find a great rate of return for your cash!
