Angelina Jolie has had her twins. Early reports stated that she had given birth to two girls. Now official reports state otherwise.
She gave birth to one girl and one boy. And thankfully she did not give them crazy names like a lot of celebs.
Angelina named the boy Knox Leon. And she named the girl Vivienne Marcheline. What a beautiful name!

Jennifer Hudson has been in the spotlight for a while now. People know what she looks like. That is why it is so ridiculous that they Photoshopped her new album cover. In case you have not seen it, I have put it below.
Apparently she was on the BET awards last month and was nowhere near this size. Why does the entertainment industry insist on being body image police? And why didn’t Jennifer stand up for herself since she always proclaims to be proud of her body?

The Crocodile Hunter’s daughter Bindi Irwin is a celeb in her own right. It was not long after her father’s death that she was appearing all over the TV. I remember seeing her once singing and dancing on the Today show. Well, now she has something else to add to her resume. There is now going to be a doll based on her likeness! It will be a 10-inch talking doll and priced around $20.

Surely you have heard the news by now. Madonna is getting a divorce. It was reported months ago. She denied it. And now it looks like it is true. Poor Madonna. Sucks for her and her family.

One of my fave shows is The Closer on TNT. It features a great strong female character. Actually one of the few you can find on TV.
I just saw a commercial for the new season. Apparently Season 4 of The Closer starts on July 14. So, mark your calendars! I know I did!

This weekend Sex in the City returns. After four years, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha get back together for one more round of cosmos. You can catch the big screen reunion of the fab foursome at theaters near you.
At the end of the series, the friends all rode off into the Manhattan sunset for their fairy-tale endings. Now, each character is dealing with big life changes. Charlotte is a new mother. Miranda is a struggling wife. Samantha is … still Samantha and Carrie is a frantic bride. That’s right. It’s Mr. Big and the big day. But, as the wedding gets closer and the drinks flow, the characters learn that real life isn’t like a fairy tale. It always has a twist.

When I heard that McCain was going to be on Ellen’s talk show I had one thought.
“well, that will be interesting.”
And it certainly was interesting! No doubt you have seen the news stories on it, which are all over the place. Apparently Ellen really took McCain to task on marriage equality.
In case you missed it, here is the convo, starting with Ellen speaking:
“We are all the same people. All of us. You’re no different than I am. Our love is the same.”
“I’ve heard you articulate that position in a very eloquent fashion,” McCain says. “We just have a disagreement, and…I, along with many, many others [wish you] every happiness.”
“Thank you,” Ellen responds. “So you’ll walk me down the aisle? Is that what you said?”
“Touché,” says McCain.

Some are saying that misogyny is what killed Women’s Murder Club. Look at these facts. You just might agree!
- With the exception of a one-time showing on a Sunday after Desperate Housewives, Eli Stone’s ratings have been moving in a steady downward trend.
- Boston Legal started the season out with strong ratings, which quickly fell with the exception of a couple of April airings.
- The ratings for Dirty Sexy Money may be the sharpest decline. Each week they lost viewers, ending with only 6.91 million viewers on their last airing.
- Out of nine original episode airings, Pushing Daisies only shows three notable instances of having viewership numbers greater than Women’s Murder Club.
- In fact, Pushing Daisies numbers seem to be declining in the same manner as Dirty Sexy Money.
- Ugly Betty had a strong start to the 2007-2008 season. By November, their numbers were closer to those of Women’s Murder Club. In fact, new episodes since the writer’s strike are actually having less viewers than Women’s Murder Club post-strike episodes.
- The only shows that showed a steady increase in the target 18-49 demographic post-strike are: Women’s Murder Club. Yes, you read that correctly. Only one show and it was WMC.
- Women’s Murder Club did not suffer a decline in viewership numbers post-strike, despite a change in night and time.
- Returning ABC shows that suffered from a decline in viewership numbers post-strike: Eli Stone, Boston Legal, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, and Ugly Betty. Note that this includes all those that actually returned with new episodes after the strike.

With the talk of Women’s Murder club being canceled there is talk of something else. The infamous unaired pilot. It does not seem to be anywhere online that you can download. And it is clear from some YouTube fan vids that there are people that have it. How? How did they get it. Well, apparently the answer is eBay. In fact, I just saw it on there myself. The Women’s Murder Club Unaired Pilot DVD is listed in one auction right now. It’s only at $0.99 right now but I bet it will go for much higher than that. Looks like it ends on Sunday so time will tell.

Is misogyny to blame for Women’s Murder Club being canceled? It is a valid question. And one that is being asked by a lot of people on the ABC message boards. You see, WMC was canceled while shows with worse and comparable ratings stayed. The difference? Those shows had male leads. The argument might be made that WMC was too expensive. Well, Pushing Daisies was one of the shows with ratings on par with WMC. I doubt it’s special effects make it that much cheaper, if cheaper at all than WMC.
