Last night Obama’s VP pick, Joe Biden, spoke at the Democratic Convention. The night previous Hillary Clinton delivered her speech. I think it is fair to say that Biden’s speech was the low point of the entire convention thus far. In fact, Hillary has outshown both Biden and her husband, Bill Clinton.
Tonight, Barack Obama speaks. I can’t wait to see how he stacks up.

Did you watch Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention? If not, you can find on the web on numerous sites including YouTube. Most news sites and articles praised her speech. I watched it myself and found it both inspiring and depressing at the same time. The depressing part was seeing what could have been. If you missed the speech, watch it here.

Wow, talk about a shocker! Just this year I saw Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones in Columbus, Ohio. She was at a rally for Hillary Clinton. She looked just fine. And then today I read on Yahoo that she is dead. You can read the shocking story for yourself. It is: US Rep. Tubbs Jones of Ohio dies after hemorrhage. How tragic!

Woo, hoo! I am pretty stoked about this news. They are going to let Hillary Clinton’s name be included in the floor vote at the Democratic Convention. The convention takes place next week in Denver. It is pretty exciting. However, I doubt anything will come of it. But I can hope, right?

I was really stoked about politics this time last year. I had the tv on CNN all the time. Now, I rarely have it on at all. Why is that? Well, they have really lost my interest. I just can’t get behind Obama. And that is a big part of it. I will watch though when Hillary speaks at the convention. Even if it is not the speech I want it to be.

I am still a big Hillary Clinton fan. And it still makes me sick that Obama is the Dem nominee. But it really makes me sick to see Hillary schlepping for Obama. That is just plain wrong. And apparently now she is going to be making solo stops on his behalf. I really can’t stomach that.

When Hillary Clinton did not get the nomination, I was crushed. But I was still holding out hope. I was hoping that Obama would want to secure the Clinton backers votes by picking Hillary as his running mate. I think a lot of people were hoping for that. But clearly that is not going to happen. Seems he has already offered her a speaking time during the convention in Denver on the 4th night, which is not the night that the running mate speaks. I wonder who he will pick now. I can’t say I care that much anymore.

Well, this is certainly interesting. I just read that Planned Parenthood has endorsed Barack Obama. If course, their options are a bit limited. I think that neither of them are really good options. And I honestly do not know who would be better in protecting women’s right to choose. I know - Hillary! Too bad she is out

As a strong Hillary supporter, I am not at all happy with Obama as my option in November. I was holding out hope for Hillary to run 3rd party. Then she endorsed Obama. And now on Friday she appeared with him on the campaign trail. What a letdown. The less qualified male won, yet again. Amazing that I was expecting anything different for an outcome.

A while back, before Obama got the required number of delegates, I had sent an email to the DNC. I wanted to voice my opinion on why I did not think Obama could get elected and how I had too much to lose if Hillary was not the nominee.
Apparently, the DNC takes the fact that you are sending them an email as an open opportunity to sign you up for their email newsletter. I did not agree to be on their email spam list. I just wanted to give them my two cents.
Today I got another email from the DNC so I looked for the ‘unsubscribe’ link. I clicked on it and was taken to a page to confirm it and to leave a comment as to why I was unsubscribing. Having not learned a lesson about what happens when you give the DNC your two cents, I left a comment. I told them how I was a life-long Democrat and that I did not approve of the way the Democratic party had treated Hillary Clinton and that I did not trust Obama enough to vote for him. I then told them that I would be voting for McCain in the general election. And then I hit them with the zinger that I am in Ohio. Muah hahahaha. Of course, it will likely fall on deaf ears.
Then I got annoyed because unsubscribing was not that easy. I had to wait for a confirmation code to be emailed to me and then I had to put that in the website. DNC - you suck!
Will I vote for McCain? It depends on what happens between now and then. If McCain gets in office, I know what he will do. If Obama gets in office, I have no idea what he will do - and that scares me.
I’m hoping for some kind of 11th hour resurrection of Hillary Clinton.
